2012 NCS History Project
The NCS is currently working on a project to archive the history of our individual training programs and to have this displayed at our 2012 NCS Annual Meeting. The NCS Urology Residency Program chairs need assistance in archiving the history of their prospective programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior resident, along with the help of staff, retired faculty and previous alumni that may be interested in history, to create a poster type presentation along with any artifacts that may be available from the programs at an annual meeting.
Below is a list of the programs who have already made a commitment to participate as well as each program's contact person.
Dr. Jack Elder – Henry Ford Hospital
Dr. Drogo Montague – Cleveland Clinic
Ms. Kristina Greiner – University of Iowa
Dr. Matt Gettman – Mayo Clinic
Dr. Steven Selman – University of Toledo Medical Center
Dr. Clinton Bahler – Indiana University
We have the commitment from our William P. Didusch Center for Urologic History archivist to assist with artifact displays. The department history can be put together as a poster presentation, but can also be written and submitted to the Journal of Urology as well as an abstract submitted for presentation at the history forum at our annual AUA meeting. Once the history of the departments is complete it could be a wonderful addition to display in the perspective program offices or, if desired, at our very own William P. Didusch Center for Urologic History.
Please help keep the history of our programs alive. For more information, contact NCS Historian Sheila Gemar at sheilag@acmc.com or (320) 231-5016. Thank you for your consideration. |
